Brief: Create something aimed to advertising and design agencies that will encourage their Creative Directors to attend the 2012 ICAD Upstarts showcase called 'Shadow'.
Solution: 'Come see us, or we'll come see you' was an online video that was sent to Irelands leading CD's via EDM as well as traditional social media platforms.
This little video earned me my first ever ICAD Bell the following year.
In 2012, I took part in the prestigious ICAD Upstarts Programme. This programme brought wanna be creatives to work on briefs from Irish agencies over 6 weeks. The outcome is to gain experience, exposure and the beginnings of a book (portfolio). The final brief of the programme is to create an ad that will promote the end of term showcase. The designer side of the programme created the name and identity, ‘Shadow’. And the advertising creatives were took this name and created something that would catch the eye of the busy Creative Directors of Ireland.
I came up with the concept of Come See Us, or We’ll Come See You. Which leaned into the eerie-ness of shadows and exaggerated the steps graduates and interns will go to to get their step in the door. My concept was chosen and made into an online video targeting Creative Directors and other important stakeholders in the industry.
