Bloomsday & Brennans
This poster was created for Brennans and the Irish Youth Foundation’s sponsorship of the 22nd Bloomsday Messenger Bike Rally & Lunch in Dublin.
Bloomsday is an annual commemoration and celebration of the life of Irish novelist James Joyce on 16th June. Originally, the brief was for a flyer design, but the client was so impressed with my illustration that they requested an outdoor poster for Dublin city leading up to the Bloomsday celebration that year.
The concept is inspired by the wax paper used by Brennans to package their products, and features a minimalist version of James Joyce’s iconic appearance.
